Hooked on a feelin’

Posted by: anothershore on: Thursday, September 7, 2006

Oh dear, I ran out of steam (as Thomas the Tank Engine might have said), and haven’t written the blog since Sunday. It’s not as if things haven’t been happening. I was summoned back to see Dr S. on Tuesday to re-do the shaving down of my teeth, as the lab people couldn’t make the veneers unless more of the surface was removed. So I had an extra session in the chair, where Dr S. was ably assisted by Oat, who up until now has only been allowed to assist the assistant. This slight delay has meant that I won’t be able to get my glittering visage until Sunday at 10.30am (GMT+7, but it doesn’t matter, because I’m over the jetlag now).

And it rained so much today, causing mini floods down the soi (have I mentioned the soi dogs?), so I couldn’t leave the building when I wanted to. In the end, I put my earphones in and listened to “Don’t stop movin’ to the funky funky beat”, which woke me up and inspired to come back to the blog.

I wanted to go to the Embassy of Vietnam to get a visa, as I have to either leave and re-enter Thailand or extend my visa before Sept 18th. As there are several budget airlines in Asia, it only costs about €60 (return) to go to Hanoi, so I thought I would. I’m also seriously considering going to Laos, as it was recommended to me. Has anyone been? I’ll get the momentum back and write more tomorrow.

Thanks for all your comments, BTW. I do appreciate them all.
